Friday, December 8, 2006:  AY died today around 11 AM.  Funeral Arrangements by Lowe Funeral Home.  Visitation is Sunday 12/10/06 at 6-8:00 PM at Lowe Funereal Home, 2205 S. Church Street Burlington, NC 228-8366.   Services 2:00 PM Monday 12/11/06 at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Glencoe Road.

Update 12/2/2006:  I talked to Irene Saul this morning on the hospital phone about closed visitation, she said his doctor want AY to get all the rest he could.  Things don't look that favorable.

Our good friend and checker player A.Y. Saul is back in the hospital at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.  He had heart surgery last year and continuing to have problems.  He is in ICU room 2923 on the 2nd floor Heart Center at Moses Cone Hospital, 1200 N Elm Street, Greensboro, NC   832-7000.  I understand he has been there since November 21st.

Our Love and Prayers are with AY and Irene for his recovery. 

A.Y. is a regular at our Burlington Checker Club and usually plays in the Greensboro, Burlington, and NC State Open tournaments.  He is a retired employee of P Lorillard in Greensboro.
